Saleen Automotive is an American manufacturer of high-performance sports cars and high-performance auto parts. The company’s first production car, the Saleen S7, was wholly built by Saleen and featured a mid-engine design.
The S7 would prove to be a formidable competitor as it won four different GT championships in 2001 and broke records at the 24-Hour Le Mans race. The S7 is the only Saleen production car not based on an existing model.
Saleen’s current lineup includes the Saleen 302 Mustang, Saleen S1, Saleen Sportruck, and the Saleen Sportruck XR. In 2020, Fender revealed the Stratocaster 1, a one-off guitar inspired by and modeled after the Saleen S1.
